  3. Affordable Price Point – Best of all, the price point is around $59, depending on which flavor you choose.

This helmet won’t feel like those novelty low-profile helmets that sit right against your skull and offer little protection, but with the G-Max GM35, you’ll get quality, comfort, and affordability all rolled into one package. So don’t wait – get yours today and start riding safely!

Shell Construction, Size, Shape, And Weight

The GM-35 is a lightweight polycarbonate two pounds two ounces two (01:15) ounces shell. It has a dot-rated intermediate oval head shape, which means it’s going to fit most heads in the United States and runs true to size according to the Gmax sizing chart.

Plus, it comes in extra small through two extra large sizes so everyone can find their ideal fit.

When it comes to construction, this shell offers superior protection against impact damage compared to other materials.

The durability of the material ensures that you’ll have a strong and long-lasting shell with every purchase. Additionally, the lightweight design makes it comfortable to wear when racing or simply out enjoying your favorite sport.

The shape also plays an important role in choosing the right shell. This particular model features an oval head shape which provides optimal coverage without compromising on comfort or style. With its sleek design, it looks great both on and off the track.

Finally, the weight of the shell is something to consider when making a purchase. Fortunately, this one weighs in at two pounds two ounces, making it feel light and airy while still providing ample protection.

Face Shield

I was surprised at how tight the visor was when I first took it out of the package, but with some gentle tugging, it came off without a hitch.

The visor is a kind of smoke-tinted translucent material that almost looks like you can see through it.

The Benefits of Using a Face Shield:

  • Protection: First and foremost, wearing a face shield provides protection from airborne particles, making it an ideal choice for anyone who wants to protect themselves in public settings.
  • Durability: The Gmax GM 35 is made of high-quality materials and designed to withstand wear and tear, so you don’t have to worry about replacing it anytime soon.
  • Comfort: The lightweight design makes it comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, and the adjustable straps mean you can customize it to suit your needs.

My Personal Experience With the Gmax GM 35:

  • Ease of Use:** Taking the visor on and off was incredibly simple and quick, which I really appreciated.
  • Visibility:** Despite being slightly tinted, the smoke color still allowed me to see my surroundings clearly.
  • Style: This face shield has a sleek, modern look that pairs well with any outfit.

Ventilation

Ventilation is important when it comes to classic-looking half shells like this, and thankfully this one does have ventilation

On the front, there are two vents that can be opened independently, although I’m not sure why you would ever want to do that! You’ll get a little bit of airflow through these if the wind isn’t enough for your liking.

Let’s flip it over and take a look at some other features:

  • Comfort: The beanie style provides extra comfort so you can ride with ease.
  • Breathability: With the added ventilation, wearing this helmet won’t feel too hot or stuffy.
  • Safety: This helmet meets all safety standards, so you don’t need to worry about compromising on protection.
  • Style: Not only is this helmet safe, but it also looks great—it will definitely turn heads while you’re cruising down the road.

Interior

Peering inside the GM35, I can see it has a relatively low-profile EPS liner, which sits about an inch high on my head.

The double D rain closure is no surprise, and it also comes with a Deluxe neck roll, which is great for cooler temps and zips off easily.

However, I was disappointed that the Comfort liner made of Cool Max material is not removable, so you can’t wash it.

Double D Rain Closure:

The Double D rain closure ensures the helmet stays firmly even during stormy weather. It’s a reliable feature that ensures your low-profile helmet remains secure.

Deluxe Neck Roll:

The Deluxe neck roll is perfect for colder temperatures as it provides extra warmth and comfort. Additionally, its zip-off design allows you to remove it quickly if needed.

Comfort Liner:

The Comfort liner is made from Cool Max material, making it comfortable and breathable while still being wicking and fast drying. Unfortunately, this liner cannot be removed, so you cannot wash it.

Intercom

What I like about this helmet is that the neck warmer comes with speaker pockets. It was really cool and perfect for running a com system since you can mount it right in the neck warmer with an adhesive mount.

For this kind of application, I recommend the Sena 10R – it’s low profile, snaps or glues on easily, and has a battery pack in the back that stays nice and compact.

Here are some of the benefits of using the Sena 10R:

  • Low profile design
  • Easy installation process
  • Compact battery pack
  • Affordable price point

Warranty

I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but it’s always worth repeating: GMAX provides a three-year warranty on their products.

That means you can trust them to back up any issues or problems with the product during its lifespan of three years. It’s a great feeling knowing that your purchase is protected and secure.

In conclusion

The GMax GM35 Fully Dressed Helmet is a sleek and lightweight helmet that has a Coolmax interior for ultimate cooling comfort.

With a detachable short visor, adjustable forehead vent, and removable zip-out rear neck curtain with built-in speaker pockets, it’s an exceptional choice for anyone looking for a reliable and stylish helmet.

So don’t delay – pick up your GMax GM35 today and experience its superior protection and comfort!
