The Alpinestars GP Plus R V2 motorcycle gloves (1) retail for circa $200 at the time of this writing. Alpinestars has worked hard to standardize sizing across their glove line, and the 2X gloves I’m using fit perfectly.

The full leather chassis reminds me of their top-tier GP Pro R3 gloves with reinforcements in key impact zones. These robust racing gloves tick all the boxes for protection.

Right off the bat, you’ll notice the large palm slider. This slick plastic armor helps the glove glide in a slide rather than sticking and wrenching your wrist. The hard knuckle protector offers impact damping over the fragile metacarpals.
