The Revit Boxer 2 H2O gloves hit a very specific sweet spot in providing lightweight weather protection gloves with a fantastic feel.

While I’m sad to see the touchscreen tips removed, they still deliver excellent flexibility and ventilation properties well suited to multi-season riding in wet regions.

For daily commuting or summer touring duties, the Boxer 2 gloves tick all the boxes. Just don’t expect them to keep their hands toasty when the mercury dips below 50 degrees!

Over the last few months, I’ve logged over 500 miles wearing the Boxer 2 gloves in varying conditions. Here are some of my impressions:

A Quick Overview of the Revit Boxer 2 Gloves

The Revit Boxer 2 H2O gloves are the second generation of the Boxer glove lineup from Revit. I was a big fan of the original Boxer gloves since they targeted a very specific need – low-profile, lightweight short cuff gloves with waterproofing.

Most winter or all-weather gloves tend to be quite bulky with extended cuffs. But the Boxer hits a nice sweet spot by cramming weather protection into a flexible, dextrous, and comfortable daily riding glove.

At first glance, the Boxer 2 gloves look almost identical to the previous model. The overall construction remains goat leather, with accordion flex panels across the fingers and wrist. You still get a TPR knuckle protector and waterproof Hydratex liner.

However, Revit seems to have foolishly removed one killer feature from the Boxer 2…the touchscreen-compatible index finger tip!

While not a dealbreaker, the touchscreen tips were mighty handy for quickly scrolling through playlists or glancing at turn-by-turn directions mid-ride.

Breaking Down the Materials and Features

The first thing I noticed when strapping on the Revit Boxer 2 gloves was the improved fit. The gloves feel snugger than before, with a more precise contour around each finger. Revit seems to have tweaked the patterning while retaining familiar high-quality materials:

The cuff uses a combination of flexible textile paneling with a wide hook-and-loop closure strap for securing the gloves tightly. The wrist also incorporates accordion flex zones to avoid limiting movement.

Moving to the palm, the glove incorporates Kevlar stitching and an extra layer of abrasion-resistant cowhide leather. This beefs up durability in a high-wear area while also resisting seam failure.

For cooling airflow, perforations throughout the textile paneling pair with the breathable Hydratex liner to regulate hand temperature during warmer rides or vigorous brake/clutch lever operation.

Rounding things out are several smart ergonomic details:
